Noble the best uncapped English Premier League player

There were so many things for West Ham fans to enjoy at Upton Park. The spectacle of Louis van Gaal putting Marouane Fellaini up front, as the Premier League’s favourite total football egghead stuck the big man up top in a last attempt to break down Sam Allardyce’s short-passing Hammers. The speed and combination play of Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho. Not to mention the general fluency of a team that, like Manchester United, is also in transaction (sic) . Best of all, though, was the performance of a player who has been at Upon Park for 15 years, and who was the steadiest midfielder on either side. Aged 27, Mark Noble still seems to be on a gradual upward curve. An astute, robust central midfielder, Noble is surely the best uncapped English Premier League player around right now. Indeed, of the team Noble captained to the final of the 2009 Uefa under-21 championships, nine others have played for England (Joe Hart, Theo Walcott, Fraizer Campbell, Kieran Gibbs, Micah Richards, Jack Rodwell, Gabriel Agbonlahor, James Milner, Adam Johnson) while Noble has still to make the squad. A lack of speed is perhaps the only real weakness in his game. Against this he offers intelligence, fine passing and defensive solidity. Noble may or may not get a call from here or indeed end up declaring for Ireland. What is certain is he is having a moment of grace after two fine seasons, a player of quiet craft performing at his peak, and the type who can make a more diffuse, expensively assembled team click together. Im not a Noble hater Eirie.

This is what cracks me up withpeople like you. Ive never said I hate Noble unlike people on here who take their criticism to another level with their personal attacks On other players.

I am expressing an opinion about his footballing ability interjected with the short sightedness of people who constantly defend the bloke on here irrespective of his performances.

There is unquestioned bias towards him and for some people he does no wrong.

Re: Noble best uncapped English player
His chance has gone for an England cap and now there is too much competition around for him. Unless of course he ups his game to a regular level not yet demonstrated.

As good a servant as he is for us if his overall form means he regularly makes the England squad it indicates to me that internationally we are lacking.

There is no doubt in my mind that he is worthy of an England run out or two. His level of consistency is extremely high so go on give the lad a new 3 year contract he has earned it.

Re: Noble best uncapped English player
Bit different when you're talking about someone just starting out on his career.

Some bloke with 10 years experience shouldn't be wanting to get splinters on his arse when he knows he's good enough for numerous other sides in the division.

As for Poyet, if he still isn't getting a sniff under fatty next season, then he should be on his bike as well. Probably not hard for a player to work out when his face doesn't fit or if the manager doesn't fancy you as a player.

Squad players I'm sure are happy when getting decent game time, but we have a manager set in his ways who doesn't give anyone on the outside any game time unless it's forced upon him by injuries.

So is POYET a cunt then GRUMP.

How dare he stay and want to fight his way into the side.

No doubt if Noble did stay under them circumstances you would move the goalposts slightly.......well MASSIVELY

Joey Beauchamp is more West Ham than Fordy.

Re: Noble best uncapped English player
I would completely agree with him leaving as well if he became a regular bench warmer.

Any footballer who is happy with not playing and just collecting their wages when their career is only 15 years long, is a bit of a cunt to me.

Like that knob with the hair who used to be at Spurs and declared that it was just a job and he didn't enjoy playing. Fucking oddball.

Yep, after 10 years and over 300 games of spiteful bile from you towards him, you would have been proved absolutely spot on about his loyalty to the club.

"If we sign another decent midfielder that pushes Noble to the bench"

Tried that. He's still there.

I'm gonna make another little stab in the dark......

If we sign another decent midfielder that pushes Noble to the bench......Noble will not stay.

All that "he's west ham through and through" will go right out of them window.

He does like a sulk young Noble

Re: Noble best uncapped English player
Nothing should still be taken away from Noble though regardless of personal opinions of his ability.

262 games for the club isn't to be sniffed at and I'd like to think that his passion and commitment for the club would rub off in some way onto some the signings we've made during his time at the club.

An English club need and English heartbeat and he's ours.

judging my some of the shit that has played international football, MARK NOBLE is plenty good enough.

Mark NOBLE is good enough for international football.

Whether he's good enough to play for England is debatable. Some ex pro's believe he is and a failed Ali Osman cab driver thinks he isn't.

I reckon he can live with that.

'FMOB.....We are now using top ten finishes as the benchmark for Mr One club man.'

That was in response to you saying every team he's played in has been shit. Make up your mind?

And I'd rather use top ten finishes rather than a perceived lack of HOTY awards if that's ok.

Rodfarts 3:56 Tue Feb 10
Re: Noble best uncapped English player
Anyway I'm glad we all agree Noble is not even CLOSE to being an international quality player and the above article is laughable.

Gives me a little hope WHO does know a bit about the beautiful game.

FMOB.....We are now using top ten finishes as the benchmark for Mr One club man.

You and OM will be setting up a company soon like the BOYS of 86 and celebrating Mark Noble played in four top ten teams at West Ham.
